Book of Ripped Pants

Questions for Contemplation

1. When SpongeBob and Sandy are at the Goo Lagoon, Larry the Lobster asks them if they'd like to go lift weights. SpongeBob feels intimidated by this offer because he knows he can't compete with Sandy and Larry. Are you aware of your limitations? Do people who are stronger than you intimidate you?

2. When SpongeBob rips his pants in an effort to lift the stick, he is embarassed. Has something like this ever happened to you? How did it make you feel?

3. SpongeBob is feeling sad about this until he realises that by ripping his pants he can get the attention that he needs. Do you ever do things that you should be embarassed about just to get attention? Although his behaviour annoys people, it isn't really harmful. But then he takes it too far by pretending to drown. Have your jokes ever hurt people you care about? How did they react? How did this effect your relationship?

4. When SpongeBob sings about his experience, Sandy realises that he has learned his lesson and forgives him. Are you a forgiving person?
